127 DVD-A / Rachmaninov · Tchaikovsky
Description
"The first DVD Audio from TACET in Moving Real Surround Sound offers real listening pleasure. The Abegg Trio, well established on CD recordings, is initially excellent with a perfect concert atmosphere, but what then happens to the trios in a new sound arrangement […] puts everything you have heard before into the shade and shows a depth beyond all musical experience." Stereo –
Moving Real Surround Sound – this is what TACET calls the next step in its creative approach to multichannel sound. Instruments move from front to back, from left to right, the space sometimes sounds like a coffeehouse, then like a church. Unusual sounds, which, however, do not degenerate into gimmickry but always attempt to understand the score in a new way. For those who do not like this, the excellent interpretation of the Abegg Trio can also be heard in the familiar, perfect TACET sound: with the piano in the back and the strings in the front.
