Born in Romania in 1958, Paul went on to win major European prizes - including the Thibaud in Paris and the Paganini in Genoa. Technically secure in all departments, his playing is simply fabulous. But more than that, Paul is incredibly tasteful in bringing unexaggerated tempos and elegance of phrasing to these daunting masterpieces.
