This release on the EigenArt label really deserves the label “original”. The music by Jens Josef (born 1967), whose works are recorded on this CD, cannot be compared with any familiar musical genre. Each piece follows its own rules, and each piece awaits the listener with something new and a wide range of moods and colours. Despite the large variety of the individual works, one can still recognise a definite personal style: all the works display true musical craftsmanship and above all the expressiveness of an unusual personality who does not want to be put in a particular category.
